This book is considered to be the definitive biography of The Who by many Who fans.
Said to have been written at the behest of Pete Townshend, this is a very thorough account of The Who during the
Keith Moon era (65-78). Although many new details have emerged about The Who in the years since its publication
and the author's writing style can be a little imperious, this book still holds up. The author, Dave Marsh, is a prolific
rock biographer, was a founding editor of Creem magazine and an editor at Rolling Stone.
