The album in question, Meaty Beaty Big & Bouncy, was released by The Who to introduce
their early UK singles to their newer fans in the US. So this book is really about The Who's
early singles. The book draws from the band members, producers, managers and critics who
witnessed the remarkable string of 7 inch singles as they came out in the 60's. Includes a reprint
of the landmark article in the March 1966 Observer that gave them much needed early publicity.
Also includes a discography.
