Compare With; The Keith Moon Memory Concert (LP) (WHITE KNIGHT WK273) Tour of Germany (1979) (LP) (Creative Artistry)
Venue: Madison Square Garden, New York City, USA, Sunday, September 16, 1979 Recording: Soundboard Comments: This was the 5th show of the first leg of the 1979 U.S. tour and the third of 4 nights at MSG. The cover used for this particular bootleg was the famed "Time" magazine cover depicting the four band members individually as caricatures. Alleged- ly several titles may have been used for this particular show including "The Who", "Live At Madison Square Garden" and "Whoicide". The two latter mentioned LP titles could not be confirmed. The individual LP's center hole paper cover look quite authentic and show a sense of humor as stating; "Captured Live!!! Pete Meaden Band". The titles on the label are bogus. The show the following evening at MSG is where PT badly gashes his hand and leaves the stage to get stitches.
