Sir: We are writing pertaining to the article written by Edward G. Pickett concerning the appearance of Herman's Hermits, the Blues Magoos, and the Who at the Civic Center. The article found little favor with us.

Mr. Pickett wrote only about the excitement caused by the Who, and slanted the article to make it appear as if Herman's Hermits were not warmly received. He neglected to say that the Hermits' opening number was greeted with more enthusiasm than that which was given to either of the groups. During the performance of the Who, who according to Mr. Pickett was the hit of the evening, the police did not seem to feel it necessary to patrol the aisles as they did during Herman's Hermits' appearance. What makes Mr. Pickett qualified to say that Herman's Hermits are has-beens?
