Who are The Who? They attracted 2,000 teen-agers last night at the Music Hall. They also brought in enough amplifying equipment to leave a permanent impression on the mind of the staunchest square.

The Who is a popular rock 'n' roll group from England. They wear the unkempt clothing and tousled hair that is standard equipment for some of today's groups.

They also are in the forefront in modern music. They play the emotional new rock popularized by the Jefferson Airplane and the Cream.

Probably the major impression of the average listener last night was of the electronically intensified loudness. However, the money-making beat and wild showmanship prompted enthusiastic applause.

Singer Roger Daltrey whipped frantically about the stage screaming such hit tunes as "Magic Bus" and "I Can See For Miles."

Keith Moon, drummer, supplied the big beat, and Peter Townshend, lead guitarist, and John Entwistle, bass, rounded out the group.

The show was sponsored by radio station KUDL and the Jenkins Music Company. Also on the program were several local groups, The Epics, Pflash and the Inmates, and the Burlington Express.
