Herman's Hermits

Herman's Hermits, internationally-famous pop music group from England, will make their first Cleveland appearance Thursday night, in a WHK summer spectacular at Music Hall.

Also appearing will be the Who, Blues Magoos and Cleveland's own Choir. There will be two shows, at 6:30 and at 9. The WHK Good Guys will emcee.

Tickets, which can be purchased at the Music Hall box office, are $2.50, $3.50 and $4.50. Mail orders should be sent to Herman's Hermits, Music Hall, E. Sixth and St. Clair, Cleveland 44114.

The Hermits, permanent fixtures on the national charts since 1964, have had 16 big hits in a row. The group's most famous song, "Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter," is being made into a movie.

Some of their other hits: "I'm Into Something Good," "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat," "Silhouettes," "I'm Henry VIII, I Am," "A Must to Avoid," "Listen People," "Dandy" and "There's a Kind of Hush All Over the World."

The Who's last big hits were "Pictures of Lily" and "Happy Jack," while the Blues Magoos gained national fame with "I Ain't Got Nothin Yet" and "Pipe Dream."

The Choir, of course, had Cleveland's top tune "It's Cold Outside."
