PETER NOONE, 19, the world's most outgoing hermit, led his group, Herman's Hermits, to wild applause at two WHK shows in Public Music Hall last night.

The Who broke up instruments on their last song and the Blues Magoos appeared in $1,000 suits that lit up by battery.

The top Cleveland group, the Choir, also played.

The audiences were small but appreciative.
