John's second solo album, Whistle Rymes, and Pete's first solo album, Who Came First, enter the U.S. charts. Crawdaddy magazine carries positive reviews of both albums by John Swenson as well as an ad for Who Came First in which Pete explains how the album came to be. Positive reviews also appear in Rolling Stone and Records and Recording. Rolling Stone does not care for Whistle Rymes but it does receive generally favorable reviews elsewhere. Who Came First peaks at #69, Whistle Rymes at #138.
