Seven persons were arrested on drug charges Tuesday night in and around Memorial Auditorium before and during the concert by The Who, police said.

Franklin Station police said that seven other persons reported their parked cars were stolen while attending the concert.

One young woman from West Seneca and a friend heading for the concert never got to see it. A teen-age boy grabbed a purse with two concert tickets and $4 from Jean Paluch near the auditorium, police said. When she held on, he punched her in the face until she let go.

And, police said, a Grimsby, Ont., visitor returned from the concert to find that stereo equipment plus a box of tapes he estimated to be worth $1,000 were taken from his parked car in a break-in.

Police said those arrested were booked on misdemeanor drug charges. Some suspected marijuana, hashish and LSD was seized, police said.

Arrested were: Vincent Robinson, 30, who gave no address; Jeffrey Masters, 19, of Roberts Drive, North Tonawanda; Roger La Porto, 18, of South Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda; Marcus Arrington, 16, of Guilford Street.

Also, Earl Jones, 17, of Burns Road, Angola; John J. Kulikowsky Jr., 16, of Sturgeon Point Road, Angola; and Donald Dougherty, 21, of Briar Hill Drive, West Seneca.

Dougherty also was charged with assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and refusing the reasonable request of an officer.

Police said he is accused of punching and kicking security guard Vincent Priemogenito after he was asked to leave during a disturbance. Dougherty was subdued with the assistance of other officers.
