The Who's farewell tour of America is making a second stop in the Upstate New York area. The rock group, which played Buffalo's Rich Stadium early in its swing across the United States, has added a concert for Syracuse's Carrier Dome stadium at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10.
Some 45,000 seats will be sold for the concert, according to a spokesman for promotor John Scher. Tickets are available by mail order only. Those wishing tickets should send $15 per ticket, plus a $1 handling charge per ticket, to: Who Tickets,
P.O. Box 4760, Taft Road Station, Syracuse, N.Y. 13221.
Only certified checks or money orders will be accepted, and they should be made payable to "Syracuse University," (the operator of the box office). There is a limit of 8 tickets per mail order, and a stamped, self-addressed envelope must be included. Unfilled orders will be returned.
The Scher spokesman said opening acts will be announced later, though he added that the Clash will not be opening Who concerts at that point. (The Clash opened for the Who in Buffalo last month.)
