THE WHO, arguably the world's most exciting rock band, are coming to Leicester in the New Year.
They will be giving one concert at the Granby Halls on Sunday, January 25 to open a two-month tour.
City entertainment manager Mr. David Lingham said tickets for the standing only concert would go on sale from 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The Who last gave a concert in Leicester in 1975. Lead singer Roger Daltrey is currently enjoying success as an actor in the film McVicar.
Two years ago their drummer, Keith Moon, died and Leicester fans will be able to see his replacement Kenny Jones for the first time.
Exactly a year ago 11 fans were trampled to death when fans ran riot trying to grab the best seats for a concert by The Who at Cincinnati, Ohio.
