1964 – The Detours play at St. Mary’s Hall, Putney
1965 – The Who perform another Tuesday night show at the Marquee Club
1966 – The Who play the Locarno Ballroom in Stevenage
1967 – The Who play at The Locarno Ballroom in Bristol. The Who have their biggest sell-out ever at this venue. Locked-out fans trash cars in the parking lot including Roger’s sports car.
1968 – The Who play the second of two nights at Festival Hall in Melbourne
1970 – The Who play the Stadt Opera House in Cologne, Germany. Their $2500 salary for the two nights is donated to the Save The Children Fund and the taxes on their shows are also excused as the German government declares The Who to be a “cultural attraction.” Both German President Heinemann and Chancellor Willie Brandt attend the show and visit The Who backstage afterwards. One of these nights Keith’s hotel room is apparently too hot for him so he shows the front desk exactly how hot by making his complaint in the hotel lobby while completely naked.
1973 – John and his new solo band Rigor Mortis release the single “Made In Japan” backed with “Hound Dog” in the U.K. The launch party is held in a Japanese steak house in Soho. Nevertheless, the single fails to chart.

1974 – Billboard magazine carries a full page ad for The Who. There is also a list of the 16th Annual Grammy Award nominations, featuring Tommy by the London Symphony Orchestra nominated for “Album Package”
1981 – The Who play the City Hall in Sheffield, Yorkshire. Supported by Q-Tips with Paul Young

1993 – Pete and his art school friend Richard Barnes attend a wake for the recently deceased Meher Baba disciple Delia De Leon. Afterwards they retire to Pete’s studio barge to work on the script for the Psychoderelict play.
