    1965 – The Who play the Loughton Youth Center in Loughton, Essex

    1965 – The Who audition for The BBC Light Program at Studio S2, Broadcasting House, Portland Place. They played “Baby Don’t You Do It”, “Luby Come Home” and “Shout and Shimmy”. They would receive a reply on February 19.

    1965 – The Who audition for BBC Radio’s Light Programme. As The Detours, they had failed a BBC audition 10 months before. This time they pass with the approval of four of the seven judges. The other three call them “ponderous and unentertaining”, “at the limit of their capablilties” and “overall not very original and below standard.”

    1966 – Melody Maker reports that The Who say that “Circles” is not working out as the next single A-side. “Caught in the Act” features a short review of The Who’s recent Finsbury Park show

    1966 – The Who are in Olympic Sound Studios recording “Substitute”

    1966 – The Who play the Dreamland Ballroom in Margate.

    1967 – The Who play the Starlite Ballroom in Greenford

    1967 – The police, at the instigation of News Of The World, raid Keith Richard’s home. He and Mick Jagger are arrested under the Dangerous Drugs Act. Throughtout the raid, Richard’s stereo is playing The Who’s A Quick One LP

    1967 – Bob Pridden is approached by Peter Butler looking for work with the band. He will later be redubbed “Dougal” by Pete after the dog puppet on The Magic Roundabout and become Keith’s “minder” and majordomo until the mid-1970’s.

    1969 – The instrumental “Dogs, Part Two” is recorded at IBC Studio A, London. It would be released as the B side of Pinball Wizard Listen to it here

    1972 – Disc and Music Echo features their Poll Awards where The Who won Best Live Band, 6th “Top Group World” and 2nd “Top Group Britain”.  Roger was rated 8th as “Top Singer (Male) Britain. Pete got 7th “Best Musician”.  Won’t Get Fooled Again was 5th “Best 1971 Single” and Who’s Next was 4th “Best 1971 Album”.  This issue also featured an article on The Who

    1972 – New Musical Express prints the article: “Daltrey: tea in the country with the Who singer.” Roger says football is replacing rock as the major youth interest.

    1979 – The press reports that Pete is starting another record label to be called Propeller Records and has signed three groups.

    2007 – Pete and his future wife Rachel Fuller release their album Attic Jam exclusively on iTunes. That evening they hold the Launch of Attic Jam The Album Party at the Pigalle Club on the corner of Piccadilly Circus in London. Pete plays “Drowned” and “The Acid Queen”. Rachel performs with Jerry Hall. Also performing are Rose Hill Drive and The Kooks

    2013 – The Who play the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado

    2020 – The Who play two shows at Pryzm in London
