Police Out in Force for Concert

POLICE reinforcements will be drafted into Deeside tonight to cope with crowd control during a concert featuring the Who pop group.

The concert at the Deeside Leisure Centre is a sell-out with more than 6,000 tickets sold but police fear that counterfeit tickets may be in circulation and that other fans may turn up in the hope of buying tickets at the door.

The police spokesman said that about fifty police officers would be on duty and they expected that about 8,000 fans would turn up. The main problems would be organising parking and the control of queueing.
