'Who' Due in Oakland
'Who' Due in Oakland
English rock band the Who will perform at the Oakland Coliseum Arena April 18-20.
One of the world's most popular bands since its 1969 rock opera "Tommy" soared to the top of the charts, the 17-year-old quartet will be making its first local appearance since 1976. These dates are part of a four-week spring tour of the United States and Canada.
While it has performed only sporadically since the 1978 death of drummer Keith Moon, the Who has been highly visible through its albums and two feature films, last year's band autobiography called "The Kids Are Alright," and the recent dramatic film version of "Quadrophenia."
