It was 11 years ago that The Who hit the Mohegan Sun Arena on a tour in support of their (then-new) "Endless Wire" album, and it's been five years since they returned to commemorate "Quadrophenia."
I saw both of those shows and was a bit surprised at how damned great surviving founders Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey 6 and their superb backing band 6 were.
Can they still do it?
Find out tonight as The Who returns to the Arena. This time out, celebrating 53 years as a band, the set list is comprehensive and spans their entire career 6 and virtually every tune is a hit or at least a fan favorite. If you've never seen The Who in person, this is maybe the last chance. And if you have, then odds are you're going to be there again.
The Who, 8 p.m. Thursday, Mohegan Sun Arena; $110, $146; 1-800-745-3000.
