John's estranged wife Alison wins libel damages from Channel Four Television and Goldcrest Films and TV. While appearing as a guest on the defendant's show Gastank, John had called his wife a "dog." She did not sue John who she is currently divorcing because he apologized and asked for the remark to be cut before broadcast.
