    1963 – The Detours play the Oldfield Hotel in Greenford

    1964 – The Who play the Trade Union Hall in Watford

    1965 – Radio Luxembourg’s Ready Steady Radio! broadcasts The Who recorded at The Marquee Club on the 13th

    1968 – The Who play the Rhode Island Auditorium in Providence, Rhode Island

    1970 – The soundtrack to Woodstock, featuring The Who’s performance of “See Me Feel Me”, hits the charts in Britain. It peaks at #35.

    1970 – Chris Welch lists “Summertime Blues” in his “New Pop Singles” article in Melody Maker saying “It should be a hit”. Melody Maker also runs an ad for “The Yorkshire Jazz and Blues Festival” listing The Who as headliners on August 15 (which they did not play), and an ad for the Isle of Wight Festival (August 29) which they did play!

    1972 – NBC-TV in the U.S. airs the special Good Vibrations From London with the June 3 Beach Boys concert that had been compèred by Keith.

    1973 – Ken Russell’s script for the movie version of Tommy is completed

    1989 – The Who play Rich Stadium in Orchard Park, New York

    1995 – Ringo Starr’s All-Starr Band, featuring John Entwistle on bass, play the Garden State Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey

    1996 – The Who play the 3rd night in a row at Madison Square Gardens in New York.

    1996 – John, Simon, Geoff Whitehorn, “Rabbit” and Jon Carin joined Godfrey Townshend and played at Le Bar Bat

    1997 – John displays his art at the JoAnn Perse Gallery in St. Louis

    2006 – The Who play the Galaxie Amnéville in Metz, France

    2008 – Roger joins Billy Joel for his “Last Play at Shea” concert at Shea Stadium. Roger sings “My Generation” and Billy smashes a guitar

    2012 – Pete Townshend and Roger hold a press conference in London to announce they will be touring that autumn with a presentation of Quadrophenia. “We’ve been anxious to work together before we drop dead” says Pete,
