A bit of drama comes at a charity concert, the London students' Glad Rags Ball at Wembley Pool, where The Who are the third act performing with Donovan, The Kinks, The Hollies, Georgie Fame and The Blue Flames, Wilson Pickett, the Birds, Marc Bolan and Geno Washington and the Ramjam Band. Wembley Pool sits 10,000 and is the biggest venue The Who had yet played. However, they are forced to use the communal amplifiers and Roger storms off in mid act demanding The Who's amps be installed. Pete, John and Keith perform instrumentals while Roger gets pelted with vegetables. Finally The Who's amps are brought on and Roger returns to the mike.

Video from this show was broadcast on ITV on December 8.
