The Who play the Mothers Club in Erdington, Birmingham. Keith passes out halfway through the set but returning later to finish the concert.

"In July, due to the sweltering heat in the club they had to stop the show as Keith collapsed over his drum kit. They resumed after an hour. I have friends who were at the July gig. I remember the girl saying to me "This chap (who she later married) took to me to this club in Erdington to see this ghastly band called The Who. It was so loud I asked him to take me home!The evening's compere was John Peel who was a frequent visitor to the club. Said John Peel years later, "I sometimes get mail from younger people who live in Erdington and are amazed to hear that for a few years, the best club in Britain – and it was because I went to most of the gigs – was right here in Birmingham.” ~ Richard Evans
