Topteen Music Parade claims The Who spend £100 a week on clothes.
Record Mirror prints an interview with Pete
Melody Maker runs an article called “The Price Of Pop Art” detailing The Who’s insane level of expenditures. The article also claims Pete has amassed 9 guitars while living on the dole. The numbers in the article, later re-printed in the book Rock Dreams, are largely fabricated by The Who’s management.
Fabulous magazine carries a story titled “‘that’s my kind of girl’ say The Who” by Nancy Lewis, future publicist of The Who.
