Melody Maker runs an article called "The Price Of Pop Art" detailing The Who's insane level of expenditures. The article also claims Pete has amassed 9 guitars while living on the dole. The numbers in the article, later re-printed in the book Rock Dreams, are largely fabricated by The Who's management.
