The Who are scheduled to play a "Beat Dance" at the Winter Garden in Eastbourne but instead send a Robert Stigwood employee to read a telegram saying engine failure on their plane is to blame for their absence. Everyone gets a refund although there is no way to give one to three girls who won an evening with Keith in a competition.
