The Who are up to their antics

THE Who, a popular group in this area, have never done their stage act on television - that is until tonight. Watch out for it on Rediffusion's "Ready, Steady, Go!"... it's a knock-out.

Explains the show's editor, Vicki Wickham: "We have given the complete second half of the show to them. Each of the four boys will do a separate number and we are letting them smash up their gear and things the way they do on the stage.

"They're going to augment all this with smoke bombs, lighting effects, and even fireworks, I suppose. Of course the audience will be kept at a safe distance!"

Kit Lambert, one of the co-managers of The Who, describes the R.S.G. event as a "pop-happening." The boys' act, he says, is based on the Theatre of the Absurd.

Last word from Vicki: "Whether viewers are amazed, shocked, or just amused, they're certain not to be bored."

WHAT is in Box 13?

Tonight there is unusual interest in this feature of "Take Your Pick" on Rediffusion.

Says Michael Miles: "It is one of the most exciting prizes I've ever given away. Whether it will come out or not is anybody's guess, but if it doesn't this week, it will, I hope, in some other week. And that, as you know, is all I can reveal about it."

He adds: "I have always said that I know what is in Box 13, but not what is in any of the others."
