A long time away from the British pop scene, The Who will have quite a job now that their imitators have got a hold on the charts. Perhaps the group that gets nearest The Who’s sound is The Move, whose new record is going fast in the lower reaches of the British parade.

Meanwhile, The Who release their new one, “Pictures Of Lily”, which could have a bit of a job getting anywhere.

It’s a good enough record, but with the current way of things, it has to be a very good record to do anything much in Britain. (Reaction).
