The most destructive group in the world will create beautiful music tonight at the Civic Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The Who, possessors of Fargo-Moorhead's top record for the past month, will be recreating their special form of autodestruction that made them famous — or notorious — long before the current psychedelic craze.
The Who have been demolishing stages, amplifiers, and the best equipment available on a professional basis for the past 3½ years and on a semi-pro basis for another 3½.
Long before "freak-out" mania became the in thing, this group produced happenings that were instrument-manufacturers' dreams and stage-hands' nightmares.
The group includes Pete Townshend, lead guitarist; Roger Daltrey, lead vocalist; John Entwhistle, bass; and Keith Moon, drums. All write songs, and the group performs mostly Who originals.
