Out front

The Who's "Live At Leeds" album is the most explosive and uninhibited Who album, and quite frankly one of the rare raw offerings by anyone. It contains "My Generation," "Magic Bus," a "Tommy" paraphrase and two new tunes.

What sounds like improvisation around informal structure, are Townsend arrangements of all parts carefully premeditated. I speak of the "Tommy" paraphrase.

A great album and my thanks to Tom Wright for the opportunity to present it.
