A 3,000 lilac Rolls Royce belonging to Keith Moon, drummer with The Who pop group, was parked outside the ballroom at Trentham Gardens after their concert on Monday.

Intrigued by the big aerial sprouting from the roof, a group of policemen peered inside the car at Mr. Moon's custom-fitted television set.

"You're too late," called a passing taxi driver, "the Epilogue's just finished."
