Lennons May Appear at KROQ Date
Although John Lennon and Yoko Ono remain a question mark, Who drummer Keith Moon will definitely be on hand at 5:30 p.m. today to "host" KROQ's "ultimate rock concert" at the Coliseum.
Gary Bookasta, KROQ president and chief force behind the concert, said Moon will bring some of the "friends and characters" with him who helped him put on some comedy sketches between musical numbers at the recent "Good Vibrations" concert in London.
Though the Lennons' appearance remains unconfirmed, Elephant's Memory, the band that has been closely identified with them, will appear.
The concert lineup also includes Sly & the Family Stone, the Bee Gees, Chuck Berry, Stevie Wonder, the Eagles and Marjoe.
