MOON LANDING!
Pop star Keith Moon was dragged screaming from a jet liner yesterday — and promptly tried to ground it.
He hurled his briefcase at one of the plane's engines and yelled: "If I can't go, nobody can."
Pop drummer put off plane after a row
It happened after The Who's hell-raising drummer gave an uninvited performance aboard a flight from Mauritius to the Seychelles.
According to a crew member, who was travelling as a passenger, "Moon the Loon" got on to the flight deck and began "tapping away with drumsticks on the engineer's panel."
Moon was with his girlfriend, blonde Annette Walter-Lax, when he boarded the flight in Mauritius.
One of the passengers aboard the plane, John Taylor, of Bovingdon, Herts, said: "He was running up and down the aircraft swearing. We were told that his girlfriend had given him some sleeping pills."
Another passenger said: "He looked as if he was plastered."
The captain ordered Moon to leave the plane when it touched down in the Seychelles.
A doctor went aboard and declared 33-year-old Moon unfit to travel.
Hope
According to British Airways, he was taken to hospital after the British consul was called.
Miss Walter-Lax, who stayed aboard the aircraft during the Seychelles stop-over, flew on to London.
She said: "He was fed up with the airline. I hope he will come on to London tomorrow."
