Moon landing as Keith is kicked off jet

KEITH MOON

POP star Keith Moon—Moon the Lune—was ordered off a British Airways jet minutes before take-off yesterday.

The plane was about to leave the tropical Seychelle Islands, in the Indian Ocean, for London, when the pop star was involved in an incident.

A doctor went aboard and Moon was taken to hospital.

His girlfriend, Annette Walter-Lax, flew on to London where she said: "I

am leaving Keith to do the talking.

"It is true something happened and he left the flight. He was fed up with the airline. I hope he will come on to London tomorrow."

Moon had boarded the airline in Mauritius. A British Airways crew member travelling as a passenger said Moon got on to the flight deck.

He said: "He was tapping away with drumsticks on the engineer's panel."

Passenger John Taylor, from Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, said: "We saw him running down the steps.

At first the Seychelles authorities said they would not let him in but then the British consul was called."

British Airways said: "Mr Moon's behaviour was upsetting other passengers and the captain asked him to leave."
