Who Who Who Who

The Who rocked a crowd of more than 70,000 at the Silverdome Thursday night on their Detroit area stop of their farewell tour. They thrilled the crowd with high energy rock. Warm-up bands Eddie Money and the Clash preceded the Who, who have been together since the '60s.

The crowd left the dome area littered with broken glass and a number of fans who had partied a little too hard. Inside, the tightly packed audience, many of whom had waited several hours on the floor, had to be hosed down because of the crush and the heat.

It seemed to be worth it, however, as the Who played perhaps every hit they ever recorded, with every note savored by the audience.

Fans close to the stage were packed in like sardines in a can.
