A line stretching from Tinker Field to South Rio Grande Avenue prompted Orlando officials to open ticket sales for The Who concert 2½ hours earlier than the 9 a.m. scheduled time Saturday.

Buyers steadily trickled by the rest of the day, but not all of the 18,000 tickets were gone by late afternoon.

Police said sales went smoothly and fans were "orderly and peaceful."

About 60,000 are expected for the Nov. 27 concert at the Tangerine Bowl.
