'Tommy,' with music and lyrics by Pete Townshend, won the Outer Critics Circle Award Sunday for best Broadway musical of the 1992-93 season and Wendy Wasserstein's comedy The Sisters Rosensweig won for best Broadway play. The Outer Critics Circle comprises 68 journalists who cover theater in New York City for out-of-town publications.
