The Who lives, again

Willie Nelson, The Strokes and Janis Ian are also on musical deck this week

Rock icons The Who, Willie Nelson, The Strokes, Janis Ian and Z100’s “Zootopia 2004” highlight this week’s metro area concert slate.

The Who, sans their original bassist and drummer, the late John Entwistle and Keith Moon, respectively, headline Madison Square Garden Saturday night.

The star power of Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend have made this gig — which is sold out — a must see. Plus, this may be the last chance to see The Who live. But, then again, we’ve been hearing that since 1980.

A quick scan of ticket broker rates show ducats can be had for as “little” as $170. That’s for an MSG “blue seat” in the upper 400 level. Getting close to the stage is going to cost thousands.

For the risk-takers, check with Ticketmaster as the show nears in case additional seats are released. For Staten Islanders, the most convenient Ticketmaster outlet is located at Zig Zag Compact Discs, Travis. To call Ticketmaster, it’s 212-307-7171. To visit online, www.ticketmaster.com.
