Legendary rockers pack Harbor Yard

For Derek Gale, The Who is more than a legendary British Invasion rock band.

Gale, 57, who was born in London, shares something in common with the band. Speaking with a Cockney accent, he said his late brother was named Keith, like the band’s infamous first drummer, Keith Moon. His brother was also a fan of The Who.

Joining thousands of other Who fans, Gale went to the band’s show at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport Tuesday night to honor his brother’s memory.

“He idolized The Who,” Gale said.

Keith Gale was such a fan that he rode a scooter like a character in The Who's 1973 rock opera “Quadrophenia,” his brother said.

Derek Gale looked the part, wearing a red silk jacket with the Union Jack tied around his neck as he smoked a cigarette outside the Arena while waiting for the show to start.
