The Edge and novelist Joseph O’Connor were among the audience in the 02 on Saturday night to see The Who perform classic 1973 album Quadrophenia.

The group had been in Dublin since the previous Thursday as they rehearsed for the first date of their UK and Irish tour with singer Roger Daltrey walking to the venue each day from the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin 4.

Their 2013 performance in the capital featured huge RAF targets in green, white and orange rather than the usual red, white and blue of the Union Jack.
