CSI’s favourite rockers The Who are bringing their 50th anniversary tour to Edmonton next year.

Frontman Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend, the only original band members on the trek, will perform Oct. 3, 2015 at Rexall Place. Tickets are $54.45 to $164.45 plus service charges.

They go on sale Oct. 17 at Ticketmaster.

The British band, considered one of the most influential of the 20th century, live on in the 21st thanks to a TV franchise. Three of The Who’s songs, "Who Are You," "Won’t Get Fooled Again" and "Baba O’Reilly," are used as themes to CSI shows.

The rockers last performed at Rexall Place in 2006 — which was their first visit to Edmonton since 1976.

Their upcoming tour, The Who Hits 50!, is comprised of two separate legs: the first running from mid-April to end of May, and the second spanning September and October.

In a news release, Daltrey referred to the upcoming trek as “the beginning of the long goodbye.” Townshend, 69, previously described the tour as the “last big one for us,” suggesting the band will likely retire from touring following these performances.

The tour will feature career-spanning setlists that include material from the band’s early albums such as Who’s Next, Tommy, and Quadrophenia through present day.
