1. Spring greening: The University of South Florida Botanical Gardens, 12210 USF Pine Drive, Tampa, will soon host the 2015 Spring Plant Festival. More than 70 vendors and plant clubs will be on hand, selling everything from bromeliads and bonsai to begonias and butterfly plants. There also will be workshops.
The festival starts at 10 a.m. April 11 and 12. Admission is $5, $4 for those 65 and older and free for members. gardens.usf.edu
2. No one knows what it’s like … to be rockin’ n’ rollin’ 50 years later like Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend of the Who (except maybe those Rolling Stones). The Who kicks off the North American leg of its 50th anniversary tour April 15 with a 7:30 p.m. gig at Amalie Arena, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa. Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will open.

3. Creativity unfurled: More than 250 professional artists and 100,000 visitors will descend on Vinoy Park in downtown St. Petersburg for the 40th annual Mainsail Art Festival, which begins at 9 a.m. April 18 and 10 a.m. April 19.
Festivalgoers don't need to worry about going hungry or thirsty. Vendors will be selling food and drinks. There also will be live music and other activities at the free festival. Vinoy Park is at 501 Fifth Ave. NE. mainsailart.org
