The Who Reschedule Edmonton Rexall Show

Fans of The Who will have to wait another eight months to see the classic British rockers in Edmonton.

Singer Roger Daltrey and his bandmates will now perform Sunday, May 8 at Rexall Place.

The Who were supposed to perform this Saturday, Oct. 3 in Edmonton, but the band had to postpone their North American tour so Daltrey, 71, could recover from viral meningitis.

"I am now on the mend and feeling a lot better," he said in a statement.

Tickets for the October show will be honoured at the new date.

The band will kick off its The Who Hits 50! tour on Feb. 27 in Detroit.

Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend are the only two original members left in the band.
