    1965 – The Who are at IBC Studio with Shel Talmy and record “Legal Matter”, and “The Ox”, an instrumental based on “Waikiki Run” by the Surfaris.

    1965 – In the New Musical Express article “Smashing time costs Who fortune!” Roger is interviewed and says that the members of the band can’t stand one another.

    1966 – The Who are filmed holding an impromptu outdoor 5-song concert at the Duke of York’s Barracks in the Kings Road for the NBC-TV (U.S.) show Today. Afterwards they are filmed running around Carnaby Street. The Today show airs the film on the 15th. Pete is also interviewed in his loft apartment at 87 Wardour Street for Dick Clark’s U.S. TV show Where The Action Is. Pete discusses the necessity of being loud to get attention: “Volume is a fantastic thing. Power and volume! “ It airs on the 22nd and a clip from it later appears in the movie The Kids Are Alright.

    1966 – Kit Lambert in Record Mirror says that The Who’s next album and single will not be the first releases on Track Records because of “certain difficulties” and will be released on Reaction instead.

    1966 – Billboard reports that “I’m a Boy” has hit #4 in Norway.

    1966 – Billboard reports that two new Who EP’s were released this week in France, The Kids Are Alright on Decca and I’m a Boy on Polydor.

    1966 – Disc and Music Echo asks “What Do Star Think of Batman”. “Penny Spins the Discs” features The Who, as do two different ads for their latest releases.

    1968 – The Who were scheduled to play Sherwood Rooms in Nottingham

    1969 – The Who play the second of two nights at the Boston Tea Party in Boston. Tony Williams’ Lifetime is the opener

    1971 – “Baba O’Riley” peaks at #11 on Netherland’s Hilversum Top 30.

    1973 – The Who play the second of three nights at the Lyceum Theatre in London

    1973 – John Rowntree in Records and Recording calls Quadrophenia The Who’s greatest lyrical achievement.

    1973 – In Newsweek, Hubert Saal declares Quadrophenia to be one of rock’s four great milestones. However, he also says Jesus Christ Superstar is another of those milestones.

    1975 – Keith and Annette are photographed at Heathrow Airport

    1976 – Record Mirror features a “vintage color poster” of The WHo

    1983 – Billboard magazine features a full page ad for Simon Townshend’s new album “Sweet Sound”

    1985 – Pete appears on “Late Night With David Letterman”

    1985 – Pete holds an album release party at NBC Studios. A live radio broadcast is held during the party with Pete taking calls from listeners.

    1985 – Pete appears on the syndicated show Entertainment This Week

    1996 – The Who continue the first leg of their North American Quadrophenia tour with a performance at the Centrum in Worcester, Massachusetts with Ocean Colour Scene opening

    1998 – Newspapers report that Pete is reworking Lifehouse for presentation as part of the BBC’s Millennium Project.

    1999 – The Who play The House of Blues in Chicago, Illinois with Eddie Vedder’s “C-Average” opening

    1999 – Goldfinger releases the EP Darrin’s Coconut Ass with a cover of “The Kids Are Alright”

    2001 – John Entwistle appears in A Walk Down Abbey Road at Koseinenkin Hall in Osaka

    2010 – Roger says that he is considering a solo live album from his 2009 tour.

    2012 – Pete is interviewed on National Public Radio’s Talk of the Nation

    2013 – Roger and his daughter Rosie attend an after party celebrating the press night performance of ‘Perfect Nonsense’ at the The Royal Horseguards

    2018 – Pete attends the Rockers On Broadway 25th Anniversary Benefit Concert at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City
