1965 – The Who play St. Joseph’s Hall in Wembley

1966 – The Who play the Beachcomber Club in Preston, Lancashire

This show is listed in both The Concert File and Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere – So I have confidence it happened, but I’ve not found any ad for it. If anyone lives in the Preston area and has access to a library with “Lancashire Evening Post” – perhaps there was an ad there? I’ve found evidence that the Beachcomber in Preston did advertise shows in June of 66, so perhaps earlier as well.

Image is the building I BELIEVE held the Beachcomber club in Preston.  Information is limited!

1968 – The Who play the Civic Auditorium in San Jose, California. Sagittarius and Blue Cheer open. For this show, the first of a six-week North American tour, The Who introduce extended jams of “Shakin’ All Over,” “Relax” and “My Generation.”
