    1965 – The Who play The Goldhawk Social Club in Shepherd’s Bush

    1965 – “I Can’t Explain” dropped completely out of the NME chart after having reached #26 the previous week.

    1966 – The Who play The Birdcage in Portsmouth

    1966 – Pete and the battle of the Who singles is the cover story in Melody Maker

    1973 – Roger is back in London taping an appearance on The Old Grey Whistle Test (BBC-2) to promote his first solo single “Giving It All Away.” The show airs the following day.

    1975 – John Entwistle’s OX plays the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, West Virginia opening for Humble Pie

    1975 – A. D. Murphy in Variety, the U.S. movie industry bible, gives Tommy: The Movie a rave review and says it has great box-office potential

    1977 – Billboard magazine carries an ad for Shure microphones featuring The Who

    1982 – Pete writes an article about The Jam and Paul Weller for Time Out.

    1983 – Billboard magazine carries an ad for Pete’s “Scoop”

    1983 – Pete is interviewed by Paul Morley in New Musical Express. Pete hints at what is to come: “I was double dealing with the band for a long time. I was in the band, I was making money with the band, I was still using the band as a vehicle for my songs, living off the band, and all the time I was telling the world how shitty they were, how frustrated I felt… I expressed all this frustration and I did nothing to back it up.”

    1983 – John appears on the Channel Four TV programme GasTank interviewed by Rick Wakeman and performing “Twist and Shout” and “Get America” with Tony Ashton

    1996 – The John Entwistle Band play Shank Hall in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

    1996 – A remixed and remastered CD of The Who’s recording of Tommy is released in the U.S. The cover is changed to Mike McInnerney’s original work that does not feature The Who’s faces in the diamond shapes.

    2004 – The Who’s two new recordings, “Real Good Looking Boy” and “Old Red Wine,” become available as downloads on iTunes. The first song is about a childhood incident of Pete’s where his mother told him he would never be handsome. The second is a tribute to the late John Entwistle and his love of collecting antique wines

    2011 – Roger receives a Steiger award in Bochum, Germany. The award is given to individuals who are notable for accomplishments in charity, music, film, media, sports, the environment and building of the European community.

    2012 – Roger plays at Teatro Colosseo in Turin

    2013 – thewho.com post the following “Up for grabs in an e-Bay auction a Marshall fridge – yes, not an amp, a fridge – signed by Pete and Roger. Pretty damn cool (excuse bad pun).”

    2016 – The Who play the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky
