1964 – The Who play the Goldhawk Social Club
1965 – The Who play the Rhodes Centre in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire with opening act The Cops N Robbers
1966 – The Who play Marine Ballroom on the Central Pier in Morecambe
1967 – The Who play the RKO Radio Theater, New York, New York
1968 – The Who play the Montreal Forum in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Opening for them is The Troggs making their North American debut.
1969 – The Who record a mimed performance of “Pinball Wizard” for a Top Of The Pops broadcast later that evening. They are paid £30 for their work but get some publicity photos out of it, taken by Harry Goodwin
1972 – Pete pre-records his appearance on the BBC1 TV programme “How Can You Be So Sure?”
1974 – The BBC airs a Keith interview recorded on the 21st on the Film Night program
1975 – Roger and Ken Russell tape their appearances on the Russell Harty show. Roger talks about wanting to go out on the road with the “‘orrible ‘oo” while Russell declares only The Who can lift England from its “weird, feeble state.” It is broadcast the following evening and clips are used in The Kids Are Alright.

1976 – The Who play the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, California
1980 – The Who play the Grugahalle in Essen, Germany
1982 – Roger’s solo collection Best Bits enters the U.S. charts. Two new songs appear on the album, “Martyrs and Madmen” and “Treachery.” It peaks at #185 in the U.S. charts
1984 – Pete accompanies T.S. Eliot’s widow Valerie to the opening night of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical Starlight Express. Both of them agree with critics, finding it appalling. The musical is extensively re-written after the premiere
1994 – The New York Times Magazine in advance of the release of the 30 Years Of Maximum R&B boxset carries an article on The Who
1999 – Dell Computers premiers a TV ad in the U.S. featuring “Magic Bus
2003 – Pete writes a diary entry about recording with the London Chamber Orchestra
