As The WHO ready for the 2nd part of their 2012 / 2013 Quadrophenia tour - which they’re
playing for the first time since 1996 - as well as having seen the one-night-only showing of the
documentary “The Who - Quadrophenia: The Complete Story” in the U.S. cinema this past
summer, I’ve found a new excitement and motivation which I haven’t felt for a very long time. Add
to that that Quadrophenia was the first WHO LP I ever bought on my own with my weekly allow-
ance in April of 1974 (it had cost a WHOPPING $4.75 at the military Post Exchange, at the time)
and ranks as my most favorite of WHO LPs, my motivation level is at its highest in years.
To those of you who’ve e-mailed me and have not yet received a reply, rest assured, your e-mails
have not been ignored. Responses will be forthcoming, as time allows.
As I sit here thinking of how best to phrase my first entry on the page in over a year while listen-
ing to PT’s 1972 “Who Came First LP, this is a good time for me to express my sincere gratitude
to my friend and fellow WHO FREAK Matt W..for calling me and continuing to send me information
thereby helping to keep me thinking about my favorite web site.
Over the past 15 years, Matt (and many other people from around the world and around the corner,
as well) has contributed an incredible wealth of information, pictures and recordings to this page
which has helped to make the site an informative and useful resource for collectors of those “rare
live recordings from around the world” ”Thank You, Matt!”

The ROIO page is up. It’s not complete but all shows through 1976 are uploaded as far as I have
available to me. I’m working on the rest of the shows everyday. It is incredibly tedious work and
requires and awful lot of formatting so please continue to be patient. I’m still working on some for-
matting things on the material that’s already uploaded.
Much thanks goes to - in no particular order: Klemens J., Matt W., “Skeets”, Benn K., Tony D.
for making their lists available!
A very big “THANK YOU” to Dave Van Staveren’s original “The Who-Live In Concert” Tapes” page
which was a FASCINATING part of the original “Hypertext Who”.

After a lengthy bout of dealing with family health issues, work on the page has once again comm-
enced. Work is progressing very steadily on the ROIO (Live Tapes) page and there are several LP
updates which will be coming hopefully soon.
I have not received any news regarding any new CD releases and have not been monitoring the
market as I’ve been incredibly busy. If anyone has information about new CD’s, please send me an
e-mail.
If anyone has taped or owns unedited master or very low generation recordings from
the most recent Who tour, please send me some information so that I may possibly add it to the
ROIO page.
Roger Daltrey will be going on a short U.S. solo tour beginning in October. Check for show dates
on TheWho.Com.

After a lengthy hiatus (as though no one had noticed) during which I’ve been able to tend to per-
sonal business and a few major home improvement projects, work on the page is commencing.
There are several new and updated LP listings which will be posted within the coming weeks.
Some interesting material not known to have existed previously. Hopefully some of you have been
able to procure the 1973 Quadrophenia shows from Philly and Largo from my last update in March
and are enjoying them.
As most of you know, The Who are making their way across the continents. This year they have
decided not to release CD or DVD recordings of the shows as they’ve done for the last several
tours. However, several recordings from this tour have already surfaced.
The following shows are known to exist:
October 21, 2008, Palace of Auburn Hills, Detroit, Michigan
October 24, 2008, TD Banknorth Garden, Boston, Massachussetts
October 26, 2008, Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Obtober 28, 2008, Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, Connecticut
October 29, 2008, Izod Center, East Rutherford, New Jersey
October 31, The Borgata, Atlantic City, New Jersey
November 3, 2008, Verizon Center, Washington DC
There are also a few video clips on YouTube from some of these shows.
Thanks to all of you cats who recorded these. I’m hoping there will be many more to come. These
will be listed on the ROIO page when it is published. In the meantime, I will update you on more
recordings as they surface, on this page. Don’t forget to check out the ODDS & SODS list via
www.thewho.net (formerly The Hypertext Who) for a possible line on some of these.
Ben K. has been kind enough to lend his fantastically elaborate tape list to serve as the database
for the ROIO page which is in development. Matt W. will also be contributing his expertise to help
fill any voids. Anyone who’s developed a database / webpage knows how tedious it can be to for-
mat and publish. Please continue to be patient. There is such a wealth of information still to come
For those of you who’ve e-mailed me and have not received a response as of yet, please be patient.
I will reply. Those of you who’ve e-mailed within the last 2 weeks should have already received re-
plies.
Stay tuned.

I’ve created a new page entitled Who’s Missing?. The purpose of this page is to list all CDs and
LPs for which cover graphics and / or information is still needed. Should you find any CDs / LPs on
my site for which covers are missing and which I have not listed on that page, please send me an
e-mail. In addition, I’ve also listed any CD / LP which I have either seen or have been informed of
but for which critical information is still needed.

The Solo LPs have been completed. After almost ten (10!) years of working on this site, I have
FINALLY formatted and uploaded all CD and LP descriptions. What a most appropriate date, on
this, the 37th anniversary of the Live At Leeds show.
As there are hundreds and hundreds (if not a thousand or more links) within the site, you might
find some that may not work. However, that should be the exception rather than a regular
encounter. In the event you do find any links that are not working or pics that won’t load, please
e-mail me. (I’m still working on some minor things this week and am in the process of correcting
these).
Nothing on this site has been cross-referenced via construction of a database. All cross-referencing was done manually through personal knowledge as well as utilizing several print resources as well as the invaluable help of countless people who’ve taken the time to e-mail me with information and send cover pics for CDs and LPs.
I will still be working on a few things for the site including updating some information, adding pics as well as the ROIO (Live Tapes / Recordings) page.
In addition, as mentioned, I will also be adding another page within the next week or so soliciting your input for any missing information and / or cover pics for bootlegs listed either on my page or ones that I’ve seen but haven’t been able to procure.
A Very Special “Thank You” to (in no particular order): Wes Biggs, Owen Gwilliam,
Kevin B, Russ & Iris, Klemens Jäger, Matt W. Scott Smith, “Irish” Jack, Ed Hanel, (Trans Oceanic) Trouser Press, Hot Wacks, Bill Glahn (Live! Music Review), Record Collector magazine, Tony D., Serge L. (France - for the very special You Are Who-The Who box set - Merci bien), Genero A. (Italy), Greg Biggs and Vinnie (Espana)...and all of you HOOLIGANS who’ve sent information and actually use my site...
...A very special “thank you” as well to anyone who’s ever taped, pressed, bootlegged, sold and traded WHO CDs, LPs and tapes (CD-Rs) in God-only-knows how many countries, pressing plants, underground shops, record shows and the internet.
...and...THE WHO, for their tireless and timeless efforts in “pounding stages like a clown”
...I can DIG IT! (I KNOW Who Put The Boot In!)
During the time it’s taken me to complete this site, I have...
completed a Masters degree, changed jobs twice, gone through 3 girlfriends and 4 computers, had 3 knee surgeries, gained a waist size (or two), lost more hair than I care to count, created an Auction page, a CD-R page and started translating the the entire site into German, deleted the Auction page, the CD-R page and have given up on translating the page into German, felt as though I was giving birth (several times) without an anesthetic (because I didn’t know what I was getting into at the time
...where WAS my head?)...
blah...blah...blah...more meaningless drivel...blah...blah...blah...Can you see the real me? Schizophrenic? I’m bleeding Quadrophenic!
New Solo CD Listing: Pete Townshend: Rough Boy
Note: Today, 37 years ago, 1970: Live At Leeds show.
- Monday, 12 February, 2007
The Solo CDs have been completed. The only section that remains is the Solo LP section which I’m hoping to have completed by next weekend.
- Sunday, 11 February, 2007
The LP section is FINALLY completed. If you find any non-working links, please
e-mail me here.
The Solo LPs and the Solo CDs pages should be completed by the end of the month. Virtually all of this material is already uploaded and can be viewed. I’m just doing some reformatting.
I will be adding another page to the site with a list of CDs and LPs for which covers and / or information is still needed. I don’t have an exact time for it yet but it will hopefully be before I’m off to see the ‘orrible ‘OO the first week in March.
I’ve discontinued the Auctions page. I originally developed and maintained it to let those interested know where they might find such. Due to the amount of time and hassle necessary to maintain it, development of a better Links page and general burn-out from working on the site for nearly ten (10!) years, I figured it was time for it to go.

New LP Listing: The Who - The Great Rock ‘N Roll Circus

New CD Listing: The Who - Electric Proms 2006 - Live At The Roundhouse

The Credits and Links pages have been uploaded. They both will receive more updated information and little bit of reformatting, but they’re there. The Links page is easy to find, the Credits page you’ll need to search for within the textual contents of one or two of the pages.

Happy New Year! The VAST MAJORITY of the page is back up!
The most notable changes are the obvious new site design and that there will no longer be a CD-R page. This page is being replaced with a page entitled ROIO (Recording Of Indeterminate Origin). The page is still in its infancy but it is being worked on. I don’t yet know how in-depth it’ll be but I’d like to get away from the CD-R titles. A tape is a tape and a factory pressed CD or LP is a horse from a different stable. The ROIO page will be a very important part of this site.
