Roger marries his four-months pregnant 16-year old girlfriend Jacqueline Rickman at Wandsworth Registry Office. Johnny Kidd and The Pirates are guests at the reception. News of Roger's marriage will not be shared with The Who's fans until 1968 when Jacqueline files for divorce. In a 1972 Observer feature, Roger confessed, "I knew that if I didn't move away from her in those early days, I would be a sheet metal worker forever."
