WHO BOMB THREAT: IRA WARN ‘DON’T WEAR UNION JACKETS IN DUBLIN’

FANATICAL IRISH Republicans threatened to blow up the Who with bombs planted under the stage if they appeared in Dublin’s National Stadium last weekend wearing their famed Union Jackets.
Police sped to the show to search under the stage as some seven anonymous callers phoned bomb threats.
The police needn’t have bothered. No bomb was found.
The fanatics needn’t have bothered either.
The Who discarded their Union Jack coats for the Dublin date and appeared before 2,500 fans in jackets made up of the flag of Eire, the tricolour, which is green, gold and white—specially tailored for them by Dublin’s only boutique. Police stayed by the stage just in case.
Previously, the Who, on their first trip to Ireland, had played to equally enthusiastic audiences in Belfast—where they wore the Union Jack coats.
From June 1-6 the boys are in Sweden for TV and shows.
