The Who go into Ryemuse Sound Studios to record backing tracks for "Please Don't Touch" and "I'm a Boy" for use on the last episode of Ready, Steady GO! called appropriately Ready Steady GOES!. The vocal and mimed performance is videotaped at Studio One in Wembley on the 20th. The show, broadcast in London on the 23rd, is the last for the revolutionary pop music showcase. "Please Don't Touch" was a hit by Johnny Kidd and the Pirates 8 years earlier. Kidd had died in a car accident on October 8th.
