The Quadrophenia Soundtrack is released. It features 2 sides of Quadrophenia tracks remixed by John, a third side of additional songs recorded by The Who for the movie along with the first official LP release of “Zoot Suit”, and a fourth side of favorite Mod records. Richard Williams pans the record in Melody Maker, but John Swenson in Rolling Stone says he prefers the new mixes. His opinion is shared by many Who fans. The LP reaches #23 in Britain, and #46 in the U.S.
