Spike Lee's movie Summer Of Sam, about the "Son Of Sam" murders in 1977, is released in the U.S. One of the main characters is a punk rocker played by Adrian Brody who is obsessed with The Who and the film contains sequences edited to "Baba O'Riley" and "Won't Get Fooled Again".
